Islammiyah

Islammiyah is the Galway Green Party Representative for Tuam. She is running in the Irish local government election in 2024. She’s committed to giving back to the community while standing for social justice, equality for all, sustainable communities, and being a voice of the marginalised.

She feels strongly about equal opportunity housing, energy credit and retrofitting. Islammiyah champions a model called Rural Proofing, which places the needs of rural people at the centre of national policy making. She wants to push for youth development and better town centres for Tuam and Headford.
